Picture and sound are very good. For the price this is a great camera.
They even refunded the cost of shipping the item back to them. While the cam wasn't compatible with my computer, I was extremely impressed by customer service. I had to send the cam back, but those at the company were VERY nice and accommodating.
I'm getting a second one for my parents so they can keep up with the grandkids from 500 miles away. "Privacy shade" is a nice feature. This was my first web cam and I set-up the camera, created a Skype account, and made a video call in less than 30 minutes. Picture and sound quality are solid.
Easy to use as well, even my parents could figure it out. great sound and great image, and great price. Bought one for myself and my parents so we can keep in touch, and can't complain.
I use the cam as my primary cam on my laptop as it has a much better image quality (especially in low light) then my built in cam that has a higher mp rating. If for any reason one of these decides to quit working, I will, without hesitation purchase another one. After much review & with a tight budget, purchased this cam for home PC (with XP) to use with Skype. Sound quality is also really good. Note- both the laptops run Vista Home Premium, and haven't had any issues at all. Was too easy to set up, and settings are simple. Liked cam so much I purchased 2 more for use on my daughters Dell laptop, and my HP laptop that I use to Skype from Kuwait and have had know problems at all.
